WADEM’s First Disaster Medicine Summer School is now open for registration of interest.

Aidana Sissenberdiyeva (MD | Disaster & Emergency Medicine | MSc Conflict Studies) is leading the launch of the first World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine (WADEM) Disaster Medicine Summer School, an initiative led by the Students & Young Professionals SIG Leadership.

The program is designed to empower the next generation of healthcare professionals by introducing disaster medicine in a practical, interactive, and a unique engaging way. Over 3 intensive days (3-5 July) in the Republic of San Marino, participants will experience hands-on training and simulations, expert-led sessions, real-world insights into emergency and disaster response, and a unique international learning environment

With the support of Segreteria Cemec European Centre for Disaster Medicine, Roberto Mugavero CEMEC, and Counter-Terrorism Medicine Europe (CTM-E), the aim is to build a space where students and young professionals don’t just learn but also connect, grow, and become part of a global community.
