Medical equipment donation call: supporting Operation Florian in Zimbabwe

Published: June 23, 2026

Counter-Terrorism Medicine Europe (CTM-E) is supporting ongoing humanitarian and emergency response initiatives in Zimbabwe as part of Operation Florian. Working in close coordination with paramedic Adam Turner (East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust), our team is mobilising essential clinical resources to strengthen local pre-hospital care, trauma response, and medical training infrastructure.

To directly support these field activities, CTM-E has officially opened a call for donations of functional medical and training equipment. We are inviting our network of healthcare professionals, emergency services, and institutional partners to contribute operational gear that will translate directly into lifesaving capabilities on the ground.

Requested equipment categories

  • Basic trauma equipment - field dressings, trauma bandages, splints, and consumables.

  • Basic medical & airway equipment - oxygen masks, bag-valve-masks (BVMs), and basic airway management tools.

  • Extrication & trauma Immobilisation - spinal boards, scoop stretchers, and immobilisation devices.

  • Resuscitation devices - automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and active resuscitation/CPR training adjuncts.

Logistics & delivery deadline

To allow sufficient time for inventorying, customs clearance, and secure shipping to the primary deployment hub, all physical donations must be received by Monday, the 14th of September, 2026.

Every piece of equipment contributed will be deployed directly into active training programs and frontline emergency operations, ensuring local personnel are properly equipped to manage critical care scenarios and traumatic injuries effectively.
